Letters
Letters have always felt like one of the most intimate forms of memory. Unlike quick texts or passing conversations, they hold the handwriting, the pauses, the emotions, and the intention of the person who wrote them. Each one captures a moment in time exactly as it was felt, preserved on paper long after the moment has passed.
Some letters remind me of people I’ve grown close to, while others come from versions of relationships that no longer exist. There are messages of encouragement, apologies, celebrations, and quiet check-ins. Even the simplest notes carry meaning-proof that someone thought of me long enough to put their feelings into words.
I keep these letters because they anchor me to the emotional landscape of my life. They show me how I’ve changed, how others have shown ip for me, and how words can carry weight that outlasts time and distance. When I reread them, I’m reminded of connections that shaped me and experiences that influenced who I’ve become.
This section of the archive is a way to honor those exchanges. By documenting these pieces of writing, I’m preserving the voices, memories, and moments that might otherwise fade. Each letter is a fragment of a story-one worth keeping safe.
These letters were the first things I ever kept. I never meant to collect them-but over time they became the backbone of how I remember people and memories.
